Every town and village in this region hold their local fair. This  tradition has its roots in the Middle Ages, when the villagers gathered together to share home-made products and fruits from their land. Nowadays, nothing is more congenial Andalusia than fair.

 Fair in Marbella is usually held in July. During the entire fair week, all shops and offices close at 12 pm, and the Old City is filled with crowds of Spaniards and tourists wishing to miss a couple of cups in the local bars.
